Nightshift 29: M51-M60 Hallway
This was no night to be lingering; Aidou sealed up M52 in his usual fashion and left hurriedly enough. He ignored the intercom beyond noting, with not a little suspicion, that 'wandered off' meant the usual babbling idiot was possibly planning something else. Who knew. The first thing Sai did was head to his closet. He'd need another shirt to function as a belt, as he didn't recall what had happened to his last one. The two trowels he kept under his pillow were still there, so he was still somewhat armed.
Opening the closet door revealed something of a surprise. The ninja could merely stand and blink at the contents for a moment, not sure of what to make of it. They hadn't come for him that night, but there was his regular ninja attire, the same he'd worn the night before, hanging neatly on the rack. Was this some sort of trick? Carefully, he pulled the items down. His bandanna, his shoes... everything was there. Everything but his sword, he realized as he checked the outfit over. They weren't about to give him free arms, it seemed.
He was quick to change out of the gray uniform of Landels and into something more familiar. If only they'd included a few ninja tools as well...
There was somewhere he needed to be, so he didn't dawdle long. The belt on his outfit wasn't really made for holding trowels and he might still need to carry things, so he grabbed an extra shirt anyway. With that and his flashlight he was soon on his way out the door.
