Night 18: F20 Hallway

Oct 08, 2006 03:11

Greed might have been either appalled or smug to know he'd woken up in a girl's cell block, but unfortunately for him, there weren't any girls to see. Instead, as he kicked the weakened door open and marched into the hall, he found that he was the only one in it ( Read more... )

And so he did until he came to stand in-between the doorway and the wall. To the man at his side, Albedo gave no acknowledgement. At this time, only one held his attention: Rubedo, his most beloved other half. This place, of course, was also given his intrigue; however it was not a person, but a place. As such it could never captivate him in the same manner as a living being could, and his obsessive, neurotic qualities could not truly come to light in its presence alone. There had only been one instance where he was truly attracted to a site and to this day he shuddered in remembrance. A pleasant, fanatical shudder that drove to that brink, that wondrous edge ( ... )

Okay, that wasn't usually the way Envy talked, but then again, "usual" wasn't Envy's M.O. when he was trying to impersonate someone else. (Greed had taken enough beatings to learn that the hard way, though he'd never admit to such a thing ( ... )

The tension that originally settled into the passage became denser with Greed’s growing anxiety, and Albedo admittedly loved every moment of it. For now, Rubedo was sent to the rear of his mind as his need to become puppeteer emerged. That impulse he set aside before returned, stronger than before, and he felt no need to toss it aside. This one, after witnessing for himself the stance as well as the facial features, was nothing he should be cautious with. Even if he vastly underestimated the other man and death came to him this night, then perhaps it was best. He’d said in the past that destruction didn’t sound bad, that held true now. It always held true for him ( ... )

Well, Schuldig had walked smack into two of the most interesting minds he'd ever seen.

He'd already picked through quite a lot of information before even leaving his room, sorting through the detritus of thoughts to find things worth knowing; he'd picked up that he had somehow found himself in an asylum right off, for instance, because the word was everywhere in people's minds, but it had taken some sifting to uncover the fact that he was - for reasons he decided not to speculate on - located right in the middle of the female dormitories, given his location in relation to the minds of the women around him and their own recollections of the building's setup(which, he had discovered, were incredibly hazy in any case). Confusion and suspicion were so rampant that he could have glutted himself on the psychic sensations if he hadn't shown some atypical restraint; as tempting as it was, he didn't like this situation he'd inexplicably awoken in and wasn't about to allow himself to be lulled into complacency by the overabundancy of delicious ( ... )

[Continued from Here ]

If Axel had known that this was the Girl's hall he would've had to raise a brow at all the guys that were there. But he didn't know such information so he just went through the door he heard the most voices coming from, ducking inside and shining his flashlight down the Hall to make sure that there weren't any 'monsters' around.

He heard about it plenty of times from other people, but Axel would've preferred to have his own encounter. It wasn't that he took his safety for granted, but it was hard to take things seriously without seeing anything out of the ordinary. Maybe that was why he decided to look around on his own in the first place.

Monsters liked to attack people who were alone, right?

Axel didn't really make any notion to talk to the group since it was too big for his tastes, instead more curious about what was inside these rows of doors. Or more of, who.

It was strange that Axel didn't notice the door opening nearby, but maybe it was because he was trying too hard to pick up any other sounds. Looking the other way, the redhead walked right into the giant's back, the force knocking him onto the floor more out of surprise and simple clumsiness. And such a thing could have proved to be fatal if the figure was actually dangerous.

"Hey, watch where you're go-"

The Nobody paused and blinked when he shined his flashlight at the figure in front of him, and blinked again just for good measure.

"... Lexaeus?" Axel knew that he shouldn't have been so surprised since he caught Zexion and Marluxia roaming the Institute as well, but there was something fascinating about seeing a dead person walking around as if nothing happened.

Being dragged back to her room at high speed had put Chusa in a bit of a foul mood. She didn't like being handled like that and only the knowledge that her captors were far better equipped (with the drugs she'd experienced enough of) kept her quiet ( ... )

[OOC: Continued from awakening post. In response to Katan catching snippits of a conversation between Lexaeus and the other KH characters in the hallway. (Last time I'll repost due to formatting errors. I swear. If there are any more, they just stay. >.>]

"...mental institute..."

The words trailed on the air, as Katan stepped forth out of his room, flashlight held in front of him. He clicked it off, and moved in the direction of the large gathering near the center of the hallway. The others were providing plenty of light -- he didn't need his. Why waste the batteries? He hadn't found any others yet, and surely they wouldn't last forever.

He didn't stride right toward them; no sense in making himself a target in case they weren't friendly. Still, he probably already had the attention of a couple of them, being as how his light had been like a beacon from the dark of his doorway. And the door wasn't exactly silent.

Calm. Collected. Moving casually, Katan approached the motley crew collected in the hallway.

Toward, but not up to. An ( ... )

Moving past the group, he opted not to even speak with them. He couldn't be certain how much help they would be, and his immediate goal was to survey as much of this place as possible, in an attempt to find Rosiel. He passed another group, before rounding the corner into another dark corridor.

Didn't this place have any lights at all?
