That's been kicking around my head for a while. I know that I've got to put myself out there, and not be afraid of the the modern tech to commicate with potential clients. You should see how ancient my cell phone is, LOL!

I second this. You've got a great eye for fabulous things and you own a ton of fabulous things, why not make some money with that?

A large portion of the acute anxiety that work has been triggering lately is because I'm suddenly being treated like a kid where previously there'd been some acknowledgement that I'm a professional, and I just don't know how to handle it.

I explained it like a professional and got metaphorically patted on the head and told not to bother the grown-ups.

Ugh. I can so relate to everything that you said that it isn't even funny. I have always hated it and always will. Writing up everyone when the entire store doesn't make goal solves nothing, nor does writing someone up when she misses goal by $5. Why force people to sell out of fear when they should be motivated to do it by positive reinforcement? It has never made sense to me that the guy who slacks off and does nothing, but gets lucky with the one massive sale because he happens to wait on the right customer is fine, but when you bust your ass for every customer and they don't buy things for reasons you cannot control, you're a bad employee. I hate feeling like my sole purpose at work is to be bent over the table when other people aren't making as much money as they would like to be. Meanwhile, I can't figure out how to break the cycle either, and don't have art or passions that are legitimately able to turn into something that I could logically do on the side. Where's a communist revolution when we need one?

It pains me to read of another brilliant creative person whose current gig is dragging them down.

When I hit the lottery, I'm definitely setting up a commune for creative folks.
