Considering the circumstances, it was understandable that it took a while for Tatsuki to realize just how amiss things were. The simple act of following Ichigo into the shop called the nature of her surroundings into question. One second, she was surrounded by a field of dust and stone, and the next, a crumbling city blanketed in snow, and she had no idea at this point whether or not that was actually supposed to happen.
"Hey, Keigo!" she called out to the empty streets. "Mizuiro! You guys still here?" This was about when it started to dawn on her that things had taken yet another turn for the worse. "Um, creepy shopkeeper guy? I, uh... I am still in your basement, right?"
The cold was ridiculous, and she sure as hell wasn't dressed for it. The location wasn't at all familiar, and likely wouldn't have been even if there were still people about. So this is what it's come to, the girl thought. It was bad enough that there was no longer anything she could do to help her friends. Now, it seemed, there was no one around to help her.
Life was funny that way.
