Yes I have been quietly knitting ever since my last post.  Well not exclusively. I wish!

There's been the small distraction of new bathroom and new carpets then the large distraction of running around the house luxuriating in the softness underfoot and the power of the water flow in the shower.  And work, and life and all that.

I wanted to knit my best friend Simon something really nice, something cosy yet not too warm, given that he currently lives in Mexico.  So a jumper was out but maybe a scarf could be worn on a cool day in a hot place.  So I bought some Malabrigo worsted in a gorgeous colour, chocolate brown with robin egg blue accents.  And I started to knit...

Following my photo-less blogging I now have a photo-rich one.  I am a woman of extremes I know. No middle ground, no compromises...

At last, at last, the rose chevron is finished!  I was so heartily sick of this project and it has to be said it is considerably shorter than my anemone chevron, but it is a wearable length and I Don't Have To Knit It ( Read more... )

I have this belief that I cant blog without photos.  And the process of taking the photos, loading them into flickr then into live journal or ravelry just seems to defeat me 4 weeks out of 5.  So maybe a photoless blog is better than no blog at all ( Read more... )
