That Was The Weekend That Was

Thursday, Nov. 3rd -- We attended the funeral for Jerry Suttner, Fadl from the Rhydderich Hael.  This wasn't entirely unexpected, but it was thought he still had a few more months yet.

Friday, Nov. 4th -- First Friday of the month which means all the end-of-month reports are due.  It kept me busy.

Saturday, Nov. 5th -- An old friend is moving and needed help, so an early start, breakfast at a drive-thru, drop the dog off at my folks for puppy-sitting and off to the trailer park to lug boxes and bags.  Fortunately, most of the heavy furniture had been moved earlier during the week.  She treated everyone to brunch at The Original Pancake House on Main Street in Williamsville.  Review to follow shortly.  After spending nearly three hours over 'lunch' catching up on everything, we went to go visit another friend who had come into town for Jerry's funeral.  Naturally, she wanted to go out to eat, so we took her to Fuji Grill on Maple Avenue for sushi.

Sunday, Nov. 6th -- The UU Goods and Services auction is this coming Saturday, so after services we gave the final performance of "As The Camel Turns", the ongoing mini-soap opera of a camel puppet in search of true love while extolling the virtues of the upcoming auction.  Camille, a lady camel puppet operated by me, finally found the love of her life, Omar, a large stuffed camel doll operated by one of the church committee members.  The final act involved every character that had been created for the skits, I didn't realize until then quite how many that was!

Monday, Nov. 7th -- Sick at work, didn't want to take the day off because it would have been unpaid, I used the last of my personal time for our anniversary.  It took me over 2 hours to create a report that should have taken me 20 mnutes because I simply couldn't focus due to the headache.
