lonely days and depression

I need a big smack in the face. This week I've been doing nothing but sleeping and feeling sorry for myself. I hate when I feel like this. I think it stems from being lonely. Even though I have a roommate we barely see each other and when we do one of us is usually in a bad mood so we never have any fun. I swear when you live with a person it' ( Read more... )

there is an old latin phase that i like to butcher...(so i'll do it phonetically)

ill-eh-jit-ah-my non-cah-rob-ah-run-dum

roughly translated as... "don't let the bastards wear you down"

but i feel your pain, loneliness is something that can be expirienced in the midst of a crowded room. so many people just don't get the difference betwixt "alone" and "lonely", but it is obvious that you get it! i hate being lonely, but I do cherish my alone time.
i hope you beat this funk, i know that my life is better through pharmacueticals. hang in there!!!

the only reply i ever have for that infernal question "how are you doing?" is "oh,....good enough." i had to explain it at first, but people get it now. i could always be 'better' so i'm just 'good enough'. try it!

Sometimes I show up just as the meeting starts for another reason than just running late. I don't have to talk to anyone. Then by the time it's over I feel a little better. And the meeting for service, well, it's nice to have plans with someone so I'm not stuck with the same person everyday. And I can always drone on about some return visit if I don't want to talk about myself ( ... )
