long time no post. summer has been whizzing right by. i can't believe nathaniel is already 4 months old (plus a week now). work had the audacity to shut employees out of various websites, LJ included. very sad.

nathaniel hit the one-month mark this week. he weighed in at 10.5 lbs at the doctor's, which she said was good. i also undertook my first outing alone with him, so it's been a week of milestones indeed.

we've been adjusting well to being at home and are slowly establishing some sort of rhythm. yesterday was the first doctor's appointment, and that went well. i think nathaniel appreciates the fact that we are becoming more versed in using the carseat, so it is less like a torture device for him. i also had my first run-in with a scale since the ( Read more... )

it seems very surreal, but we are happy to announce that we finally have nathaniel home with us (as of last night). i almost didn't know whether to believe the doctors yesterday when they started talking discharge. last night went well, and we are settling in. thanks to everyone who has offered their thoughts, prayers, and support. apologies to ( Read more... )
