doll photos, barbie
my sister showed me pictures from this photo session she did when i last saw her. i used to have a roommate who had a fish tank with creepy doll parts in it, and it's been somewhat of a joke and an interest ever since. anyway, i really like some of these images, and i also admire people who can vamp it up for the camera; my relationship with a camera is that i just ignore it, and i often look distracted or i'm blinking or have my mouth open weird or who knows what in pictures. my sister is "the pretty one" ;). i'm not saying this to fish for compliments ... i think it's just obvious that, while i *can* look good, i'm awkward and uncomfortable. it may be part of my charm, but there it is.
i don't think i've ever mentioned it here before, but i also really like this photographer's "dolls and toys" series.
she's wearing more makeup than she normally does, but it's a photo-shoot! i think she's stunning. i have a tendency to be put off of people who are too confident, but just because i'm not doesn't mean others shouldn't be. she and i often talk crafts when we're together; we're not all that different, but i do rifle through her trash to rescue recyclables when i see her.
