summer music

the summer always seems to be a busy time, and this year has been no exception. i haven't posted in a while, but we've had friends visit and several concerts under our belt, as well as 5 days camping in the rain with nathaniel. he is truly a little chaos-boy: so calm and mellow when things are going nuts all around him.

july 4th - i always bring hula hoops to our friends' party. this year i figured out how to hoop while holding a baby



last weekend we went to see a concert at jones beach















sometimes he gets serenaded by daddy at home:



and this past weekend, we were at the falcon ridge folk festival, where there was much rain, mud, and even a crazy mini tornado (hail and gale force winds). as i said, nathaniel is a calm, quiet observer in the face of chaos.



this demonstrates his newest habit of clasping his hands. very cute.
