(no subject)
Has it really been over 12 months since I've posted in LJ? I think yes, wow. And whats prompted it? Well its is your other quiet friend from the west Aiveen. She had a baby boy today, his name is Max! Ahhhhhhh.
Take a bow Aiv, have a beer and put your feet up. (probably a very dumb thing to say but all I managed on the phone was varying degrees of ahhhh, ohhhh, ahhhh, ohhh!
Life is great for me. Seem to have hit the trifecta. Work, home, love! I have a new job at the company I've now been with for nearly 20 months. That is a record for me. Second longest job I've had in my life and I'm very proud. Doesn't mean I haven't pulled out all stops at various stages throughout the last year and a half to get out of there, but it didn't happen. My new job is in property services/asset management and its only me in my department. I'm it! I work within the finance department but I'm all alone in asset management. Its really great coz I'm not stuck to my desk for 7.5 hours a day, I'm up and about going to meetings and visiting branches etc all the time. I just have to pick up a file and go for a walk and call it work. Its great! More money too.
I moved into a little flat in Feb this year, its just me here too and god I love that. I so love that. Its right in town so I can wallk to the CBD. Fabulous. Its a tiny flat, bed sit really all in one room, but its funky colours and all I need really. More room would mean more house work.
I have a lovely man in my life, Darren... I work with him. He had been chipping away at me for about 8 months before I finally gave in and went for a drink with him. I think we were both a bit suprised at how well we got on when we made time to be together. I ADORE him. Its been up and down, as always, but we are getting there. Its tuff this relationship business, but I do love him very much.
Thats about it. Will be in Sydney in September for Lea's wedding, Jacqui's sister. Will be a bridesmaid so thats something to look forward to. So many people to catch up with in such a short time, just a week. But I can't wait, its been WAY TOO LONG.
