Received a very official-looking envelope in the mail this week.

It was hard not to notice the large bold "State of Ohio" up in the corner.

It came from the state capitol, and just above my address were the words "Official Government Business".

I thought, "Oh no, is this something to do with my driver's license?", but I haven't had any violations in ( Read more... )

Our community had it's annual end-of-summer Arts Fest earlier this month.

As usual, it featured dozens of area photographers, painters, jewelers, woodworkers, and sculptors. There was even metalwork being created by a blacksmith.

Several local musical groups performed, including a group of local college profs performing "experimental" music, folk ( Read more... )

I saw this guy flitting around my driveway in the 95° heat.
He finally settled, and I ran inside to grab my camera.
He was still there when I came back out, and he posed for about 5 more seconds...
and away he went.
