A special treat for Halloween...a redo of the best kind.


Beginning with a really bad ivory necklace, I cut out one of the good bits. The two owls you see here. Now, I am going to make a new necklace, and make them look really nice. This is the beginning sketch of the silver foreground of the necklace.


Cutouts for the branch foreground are ready. Bezel made for the owls...


Copper background, with tree cutouts. Oh my god, my hands were killing me on this project. Cutouts of this type are extremely difficult.


Basic layout for the overall piece. I decided here, that I needed to give some distance between the copper and sterling. I ended up creating spacers between the two. Worked really well.

Finished piece. I re-drilled the owls eyes, as they were really...not that inspiring. I got the smallest onyx I could find for the owl eyes. Re-drilling those was fun.
