Yes, I am and will always be a huge Michael Jackson fan. His death shocked me and above and beyond the investigation of alleged drug abuse which could have possibly led to his demise, my heart aches for this family, his children and his millions of fans around the world.
Was he really a freak, or a freak of circumstances? Was his Memorial over the top, or a tribute to a great humanitarian? So many jokes, so many critics, so many people denying that at one point in their lives Michael Jackson touched them with a song.
I was not able to watch the Memorial live, but did catch it later last night and I sat, and I watched, and I shed a few tears. His music will live in my heart forever. No one can deny that for the last week you didn't stop one second and find yourself humming or singing a few of the lines from your favorite song or thinking about him in some form or another whether good or bad.
What I can say is that he filled my young life from a tween to an adult with music that I will be able to relate to in my memories until I die. For that, he will never be forgotten.
