Coronavirus long ago left pandemic mode and moved into endemic mode. We had a pleasant summer with a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Originally, we were told we'd work from home for at least four weeks. Since then, the date has been pushed back two more times, and if it doesn't move again we'll have worked from home for seven weeks. Which with January means I've had 6.5 sick days in 15.5 years. I honestly don't feel any worse than yesterday, but I've got a lot going on in the next week and some sleep to clear out the system seems like a good idea.

I feel pretty good, but I have a runny nose and a sore throat, so either I won't feel good shortly, or I'll be contagious everywhere. Probably both.

This is my first sick day since December of 2014. I've now taken 5.5 sick days in 15 years.

I've got a headache and a slight fever. I feel well enough that I could probably go to work, but I've got a ton of things scheduled in the next three days, and the office is basically empty today, and I have one last PTO day I need to use anyway, so screw it, I'm staying home and playing it safe. So much for my Midwestern work ethic.
