Cinematheque Highlights for the May/June Schedule
Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29 - Ran. This adaptation of King Lear is the last major Kurosawa film I have yet to see. I'm looking forward to it.
Thursday May 20 (at the Capitol Theater) - 2010 Oscar Nominated Animated Short Films. For those of us who don't belong to SIGGRAPH.
Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29 - A Town Called Panic was the best film I saw at the CIFF this year. It's a riotously funny stop-motion film based on a Belgian TV series. It's kid safe (one minor profanity, some cartoon violence) and highly recommended.
