Sometimes you just wish you had a camera

Walking in to work this morning, past the little church on the corner of St Cross Road, I saw something that had me reaching for a non-existent picture taking device.  I also half-wish I could draw, so you could see what I saw, but I'll have to try and paint it in words...

Through the black railings around the graveyard, I saw a squirrel, sitting contemplating a headstone.  Its back was towards me and it was sat upright, ears pricked, for all the world as though it were reading the words written in front of it.

Add to that the wild flowers growing to one side, just in the corner of my vision as I looked at this, the swooping overhanging trees and the birdsong...

It was just beautiful.  Almost welling up thinking about it!
