I raced this weekend with my Jesus crew, and was pleasantly surprised.
For what was a tidy, but slightly lacklustre row, we got the second best time of the day (behind a 1st Division crew, when we're halfway down the 2nd).

The second of our two runs was less fun (and 15 seconds slower) but this was in large part due to the MUPPPPPPPPET coxing Wadham who cut in right in front of me at the crossover.

Ok, he was a novice. But I was already trying to stay out of his (highly erratic) way by sacrificing some of the racing line and crossing early, and there were three of us (me, his coach, my coach) yelling at him to take a look, while I attempted to take evasive action. Eventually we had to pause at arms away (to give them enough time to get away from us for me to steer round - they were that slow), causing gasps of astonishment and shouts of "Go Jesus" from the bank. I think we got the moral high ground anyway, since we overtook them in any case. But still, rather annoying.

That said, it wasn't the greatest of rows anyway, many side-wise walking creatures, so it's not the end of the world.

I have been up for over 9 hours. I don't know where my morning's gone, and this afternoon's trickling away too, although not so quickly. I suspect I shall be having a very early night, but at the moment I'm flying, and very hyper!
