This is the Cowboys & Indians Magazine poem of the week.  I can see Jack sitting in his office, looking out at tarmac and tractors and balers, and thinking of Ennis and the "sweet life" he wished for but couldn't have.

Evenin'.

Well, just finished getting ready to leave, and sat down to read the July/August issue of 'American Cowby' again, and realized how much this poem at the end of the issue reminds me of Ennis, years from now [even though the life of the cowboy in the story ended 'in its prime'].  Can see Ennis with a blue heeler.  Hope you like it too.
