Very irritating when the forecasters are blindsided. No snowplows showed up in our neighborhood until 5pm; they didn't plow the *highways* near here until well after more than 4" fell, sometime after 2pm.

I'm cooking; the other great apes are out shoveling.

Mythbusters Behind the Myths Tour was great. Not a lot of myths, but a lot of process and stories and things. Definitely worth the $65 ticket price, and I wish we had heard about it before the meet-them tickets had sold out. Kids were THRILLED. Froze last night. Good thing I picked up Metageek's sweaters and winter coat from the cleaner's yesterday. Since he lost all that weight, he gets cold easily. He's luckyt he's got me to keep him warm. And I'm so modest, too.

We received at least a foot of snow, and it took me about two hours with the snowblower to clear our rather extensive driveway. I also gave Liz her first lesson in snowblowing - she's only a couple inches shorter than I am, so it seemed like a good time.
