Thesis haiku

Via owlfish, the challenge is to sum up your research in the form of a haiku.

Here's mine:

Folks were abducted
(Not just women, some boys too)
For cash, land, marriage

Alternately, but perhaps less transparently:

Kids: if your dad dies
And you stand to inherit
Better watch your back
