I learned the other night about a Chilean drink called Fanschop: Fanta mixed with beer.

Sounds disgusting, but apparently it's pretty popular there. We wanted to try it, but we didn't have any Fanta, so instead we had shandy (lemonade and beer). Highly recommended.

You know the 72 virgins that are supposedly awarded to each Islamic martyr in Heaven? Rivka's favorite professor, Robert Art, told her class the other day that the word "virgins" might actually be a mistranslation of the original text.

They sell these cute little apple juice bottles at Einstein's.  Every time I'm there, I always want to buy one, but I never do.  The other day I said that to someone while we were in line, and saying it out loud made me realize how silly it was.  So I bought one and was infinitely happier.  The end.

Food items that I have recently been ridiculed for eating:

• Ketchup on pizza (oh, so tomato sauce isn't weird but ketchup is?)
• Ketchup on sandwiches (it's the dipping that baffles people.  Why wouldn't I dip my sandwich in ketchup?)
• Ketchup chips (alright, so I'm a ketchup fan.)
