Mum and Mothering Sunday.

Oh gosh - over a week since I last posted! Sorry.

Mum is fairly settled at the nursing home, some days she stays in bed, some days she gets up for an hour or two. We try to make sure she has one or two visitors every day, and I took Willow up a few days ago; no-one minded her sitting on the bed at all.

We decided that the most sensible gifts for Mum, for Mothering Sunday today, were flowers. But no sense in all of us buying flowers at the same time - so I bought her some today, my sister will get some next week, and D-d will do the week after, followed by at least one of my nieces the week after.

I met D-d up at Mum's, then she came home with me to give me my gifts - a planter and bulb to grow Gloxinia Kaiser Wilhelm and also some frilly tulips. I do hope the gloxinia comes up as it will be beautiful - but in the meantime, here are my tulips for you to share.

There were enough for two vases - so I have some in the living room and some in the conservatory.

In church this morning I took a major part in the service talking about... Paddington Bear! Think of the people who loved and cared for him, from his parents to his Great Aunt Lucy and the Brown family - all family in different shapes :) We all completed labels, like Paddington wore, describing ourselves, and who cares for us, and then one for those caring people - and put all the labels onto our prayer tree -

Guess who spent yesterday afternoon watching the rugby whilst cutting out 100 labels, punching holes in them, and adding the ribbons to hang them on the tree?

There have also been things happening in the house and garden - I must try to post again in the next few days!

d-d, mum, mums
