New Recipe for October - Blackberry and Coconut Squares..
This is not all that dissimilar to the Blueberry cake from September. Again I was baking to use what I had, and I had been out picking blackberries. So this is a recipe from my BBC Good Food Magazine - available on-line here.

This is also the picture of the day for Friday, when I made it. It is keeping beautifully moist - there is some for D-d when she come around later, and there should even be a couple of bits to take to the bookshop with me for us to have with our coffee tomorrow morning.
D-d and I are going to make the Christmas cake this evening - I have had 2.5 lb of fruit soaking in red wine and brandy since Friday evening.
