I'm diabetic and as such i dont use sugar in my cupcakes (i use Splenda), but i can never decide what to use for frosting. I want to try something that doesnt use alot of icing sugar if i can help it, but then i dont know!! Ive never really frosted my cupcakes before, or if i do i use buttercream but i get a little freaked out at the amount of fat

I use low-fat cream cheese and a small amount of stevia to make her frosting.
Also, adding a little flavoring such as vanilla or almond works well too.
You don't notice the lack of sugar if the flavor is great. :)
I do not like overly sweet frosting and use this often for my own baking.
