Relief is spelled C-L-I-N-T-O-N
So Susie had her interview at Clinton Elementary this morning. Clinton Elementary is part of Laurens 56; I am in Laurens 55. Anyway, she it really sucked that she had to get up on her first Monday off. I had hoped we could have stayed up last night. She even turned down a good time with Ace, Neill, and Renzo. WTF?
By the time I got UP this morning she was back. Short interview huh? The principal (who is leaving next year), interviewed her along with the curriculum specialist and one other school administrator. After her short, 30 minute interview he told her that he would be in touch, either way, by mid-June. This was not happy news for either of us.
After spending a (what is about to become) typical day watching TNT, Susie was about to settle into her bed for a long summers nap, when out of the blue, the damn phone rang. I am laying in the living room watching A Clockwork Orange and this is all unbeknownst to me. And then she comes out screaming. I am thinking there must be a spider, although she doesn't generally scream like THAT! And then I hear her: I gotta job!!
So yeah, the principal called her ALREADY. In the interview he asked if she preferred the 2nd or 3rd grade position and she was ballsy enough to give an answer. And she got it. Next year Susie will be teaching 2nd grade at Clinton ES. Good for her! :)
And this is also especially good for me because NOW I don't have to worry about finding a new roommate. So . . . GOOD FOR ME!
We have champagne (two bottles, actually) chilling in the fridge. And Power Hour is on with Ace and 3000 now. Today is a day to celebrate. :)
