Please help Fang!

I have been noticing lately that Fang has dropped a lot of weight. This has been a concern to me, but I just increased his daily food to try and get him to eat more. He seems to eat fine and there is no lack of ferret poop, so it is not an intestinal blockage. I noticed today when I went to take him out of his cage that he is missing all the fur from around the base of his tail. According to the ferret book I have this is most likely indicative of Hyperadrenocorticoidism, AKA adrenal gland disease. This is usually treated with surgery and if left untreated it will be fatal.

This is a plea to everyone out there...I am taking up a "Save Fang" fund. We cannot afford to take him to the vet, let alone get him surgery, so if everyone pitches in a few dollars here and there maybe we can save him. If anyone donates money to this worthy cause I will record who and how much and pay them back when I am able too. Fang is about 6 years old and still has a good 4 years or more left in him if we can get this taken care of.

Thank you all in advance for any and all support you give in this time of crisis.
