Well, my vacation is officially over, and I am not happy about it. Although, I am glad to be back with my Kayla, I have missed her, it has been 3 weeks since I last saw her, which is way too long!
Alright, so I really enjoyed my final days of vacation. I survived Friday the 13th, which was good. I spend that day mostly with Abby, then we went to Hillel's Shabbat, which was nice. Even though I went to their Shabbat last time I was there, it still baffles me how many people were there. They probably had twice as many people as we had our Rosh Hashanah dinner and services, which was a huge event for us. It actually makes me appreciate our small Hillel, I just feel like we are all really close and I value that, it's quality, not quantity that matters. After Hillel Abby and I went to Melissa's house to hang out and watch a movie (we watched "Almost Famous," which I really enjoyed, and I totally half a crush on the kid that's in it).
I spent Saturday with Stephanie L. and her friends (Jim, Evan, Aaron, and eventually Emily joined us). We went to Target, which was great because I was seriously suffering from withdrawal. Then we walked around the mall for a while. We went to Jim's apartment, which was beautiful, and watched "The Forgotten," which I actually really enjoyed. It was fun when all us girls would scream and gasp at the same time, that movie definitely kept you on your toes. We then went out for dinner, which was quite an ordeal. It took about an hour to figure out where we were going to go, and there was much arguing, but it all got worked out. Then Abby and I went back to her house to watch the second half of the Broncos game, which was great, because we won!!! And that was pretty much Saturday.
On Sunday we all met up for breakfast at Village Deli, which has these amazing, giant pancakes, it was so good. Then I got to drive back to Michigan, it took about 4 and a half hours, which actually isn't too bad. Then I hung out with Sarah, Stith, and Annie (who was visiting from Chicago). We made dinner and watched "Grey's Anatomy," it was a good time.
Then today, I flew home. I was able to catch an earlier flight which was nice, except for the part when I had to run through O'hare airport to catch my connecting flight, but I made it and everything worked out fine. Then, when I got to Denver, I got to see someone I have been anxiously waiting to see... Stephanie!!! It was so incredibly great to see her, I can not even explain. I miss her so incredibly much it is rediculous, which is why we are going to spend as much time together as possible while she is home. It was fun, I got to talk to Micah over Skipe (I have not idea if that's how it's spelled), he seems like a pretty cool guy, I can't wait to meet him. Stephanie and I went out to dinner (at Chili's, one of our favorites), then I got to drive back to the Fort, where I got to see Kayla, so really, it was a day of reunions. And now, I am just wasting time and putting off going to bed, because the sooner I go to bed, the sooner I have to wake up for school, which I am not ready for.
I would say that overall, it was a pretty great break, and I am very optimistic that this semester is going to be a pretty good one, even though my classes are going to suck, but that is pretty much expected.
Well, I suppose I can put it off no longer, it's time to get ready for bed.
