So, I am currently in Stephanie L's room sitting at her desk on her chair (which happens to be an exercise ball, which makes things quite entertaining). I got to the Bloomington area yesterday around 11:30, which was about five hours earlier than planned. So, I walked around downtown Bloomington and then drove around, and got lost, and then found, and then met up with Stephanie L. at Steve and Barrys (where I officially became an IU spokesman, at least it seems like it because of all the stuff I bought). Since it was such a beautiful day yesterday, Stephanie and I decided to take a walk, we walked everywhere. We actually were out for 2 hours, it was so nice, and it gave us time to at least update each other on our boy situations, which actually took most of the two hours. We then met up with Abby and went to dinner at Laughing Planet, which is a local Chipotle sort of place, it was really good. Then we came back to Stephanie's and Stephanie Kushman came over, and the four of us hung out for a few hours. It was so nice to catch up with all of them, it hardly seems like 2 years have gone by since the last time I saw them, it feels like it was a month ago, except when I look at everything that has happened since the last time I saw them all. It was fun hearing about Abby's experiences in Israel last semester, and all that other fun stuff. I'm just so glad I have this time with all of them before they start graduating.
Alright, so Wednesday I got to West Lafayette (where Purdue is) and hung out with Michael for the day. I got to see Purdue's campus and their Hillel, which was really nice, although, compared to our office, any Hillel house would be nice. We then hung out a lot, had the discussion that I had been dreading for 2 weeks, went out to dinner and went bowling. It was actually pretty nice, considering the circumstances. "Ending" things with him was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but it really was necessary for me. If I want experience other people and be happy like I am supposed to be, I can't care about him as much as I do now, because it really just kills me each and every day. Well, that's that.
So, as nice as yesterday was here, that's how crappy the weather has become, it's currently extremely cloudy and rainy, which is weird because that's exactly how the weather was on Friday the last time I was here. But, it should still be fun. I'm going to IU's Hillel Shabbat tonight with the girls, and then we'll see what happens. Well, that's all I know for now. The next time I write in this I will be back at school, which both excites and depresses me. I'm excited to go back because I miss my Kayla dearly (and it also means that my wife Stephanie will be home, which I am super excited about), but it depresses me because school this semester is gonna suck, but oh well. At least I've had a fun break to rejuvinate me for my future horrid classes.
