This is for all my fellow baseball fans out there, but especially for my sis…who just got to see the game of her life! Way to make it happen!
“Play ball,” the umpire called to signal the start of the game.
Grissom pulled the lanky brunette aside, “Be patient, honey. Wait for your pitch.”
“Yes coach,” she sarcastically replied.
He smirked as he watched her dig in, carving out a foothold in the batter’s box.
Connecting solidly with the first pitch, she laced a line drive into left. Rounding first, she took a look then turned and retreated to the bag, a wide grin on her face. “What can I say? Patience is not one of my virtues.”
Finding Sara in the stands, he smiled. “Like mother, like daughter.”
