SV Pondering...
So, I was thinking on my drive home from classes today about the SV opening credits.
What will they do when they remove John Schneider? Will it remain the same - With Annette O'Toole but just drop him off the end?
Will AOT move back a spot and get the more coveted Annette O'Toole as Martha Kent spot and John Glover be moved into the "with" spot?
Will John Glover just be sent all the way to the back and be John Glover as Lionel Luthor and AOT keeps the "with" credit?
Or, will Rosenbaum get it and be Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. In all honesty, he actually probably should get it. Just like Alyson Hanngian moved back from her third-billed spot into the last place earning the "as Willow" credit when Tony Head left Buffy. First, second and third billed stars are negotiated places. So are the "with", "and", "special appearance by", etc credits you see on shows.
If a better spot opens up, the higher billed star should move to it, so that would techincally be Rosenbaum. But at the same time I've always found it a little weird that John Glover get no special credit. He's just thrown in the middle with the "kids" - so I'd like to see him move as well.
Yes, I think about these things. Always have. That's probably weird, lol. I thought about them back when Eriq La Salle left ER, I was all worrying whether or not Paul McCrane would get the deserved "and" door-crashing credit. He did. He deserved it. I was happy. Heh.
So, yeah, that was a lot of wondering about something that doesn't in the slightest bit concern me. It will have no bearing on my life, but I'm curious about show politics like that. Always have been, heh. I guess I'm just super-nosy, lmfao. ;)
