Smallville 5x13 - Vengeance
Thoughts, thoughts. So many thoughts.
- Too early to give his clothes away? Uh, DUH, Martha. WTF? If I were Clark, I'd have been throwing a ring-tailed fit. Point in fact, at the time my grandpa died he had a shirt hanging in his laundry room. LOL, come to think of it, it was A LOT like Sawyer's purple cowboy shirt from "The Moth", but that's besides the point, heh. Anyway, long story short - that shirt hung there where he left it for YEARS. Over three of them, until we sold his house and packed everything up. Somethings you just have to leave be for awhile. Giving away all Jonathan's belongings? Bad idea. One of these days, when she wakes up and it doesn't hurt so much she might wish she'd kept some of his things. Like his cow coffee mug, lol. And yes, I know it's a TV show, and we need to move the plot along, blah, blah - but still. Bad idea, Martha, bad idea.
- On a sidenote, Welling's teary eyes in that scene really worked.
- Jonathan's watch was "bling?" I think not, but whatever, lol. I know a lot of farmers, and none of them have ever worn anything close to a nice watch while farming. It doesn't make sense to do so. Then again, when did Jonathan ever actually farm? LMFAO.
- Shut the fuck up, Lana. You stupid whore. Can't you tell Clark doesn't want you around? Asshat.
- And you know, I hate to say it, but - shut the fuck up, Lex. What in the hell does Lana need to be sad about? Don't coddle her. You know, there was this guy - tall, kinda goofy, wears lots of flannel? Used to be your best friend? His Dad is dead. Why don't you go see what you do for him, even if you're the last person he might think he wants to see. Pacey Witter sucked it up and was there for Dawson when Mitch died, so surely you, man about town, can do it for your former BFF too. Gah.
- I really liked Chloe's undercover coat. She was so cute in it and her hat. And OMGLMFAO, I loved their little secret evil plan. Funniest. Thing. Ever. The more I see her in the role as Clark's partner in crime, the more I want her to be RealLois. I'm going to be disappointed, I'm sure, but giving them this fun, working chemistry isn't helping me ween away from the Chlois theory.
- Lionel with a revolver? HOT. That's all I'm saying. HOT.
- Vengeance girl? Whatevercakes. Time waster. Though, her glasses look a helluva lot like my new frames. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to ignore that, lmfao.
- I really liked the Martha and Chloe scene. Perfect. So, so perfect.
- 8 Mile Clark? *gigglesnort*
- Acuvue is clearly the new Ford Focus which was the new Old Spice Red Zone. Heh.
- Clark saved Lionel. That's a good little son-in-law. (HA! He even called him son. Hilarious. And a little creepy.)
- That T-Mobile commerical with the screechy girl annoys the piss out of me. THAT is just one example of many of why I fucking HATE KIDS.
- I love that Martha found Jonathan's coat.
- Lionel. Lionel. Lionel. I never know what to make of you. Up to no good? Absolutely. But there's part of me that really does tend to lean towards the feeling that he truly cares about Martha. Such a magnificent bastard. I love it.
- Oh, come on now, don't make me like Lana even the tinest bit for finding the watch. Dammit! Why couldn't Lex have been the one to track it down. That would have been much better. But I do like that she got it back, and that she got it back by checking the pawn shops. My Dad had a ring stolen once, right from our house, and we checked all the pawn shops for the longest time. We never found it.
- "Buh-bye." Damn. Now, that got me. Welling's single tear and breakdown were nice. But the "buh-bye" reminded me SO MUCH of Doyle's, "Is that it? Am I done?" that it gave me a lump in the throat. Well played, Smallville, well played.
In other news, I finally finished my Multi-Fandom Men Mood Theme. I'm not sure how long I'll even use it - playing with SV caps for this one makes me want an all SV one. The colors of that show are SO PRETTY!
Anyway, I didn't bother uploading it to share, because I can't imagine that there is anyone that likes ALL the same fandoms I put in it, lol. But if there is someone that wants it, just holler, and I'd be happy to share. If you want to check it out, you can preview it RIGHT HERE.
I also considered doing some alternate themes, you know, duplicates from different fandoms and then offering it up. That way anyone that wanted to use it could pick and choose, weeding out the fandoms they didn't like and whatnot. If anyone is interested in that option, again, holler.
