OH MY GOD YOU GUYS

SO I WAS OUT WITH MY MOTHER TODAY, HANGING OUT AND DOING STUFF, AND I MENTIONED THAT I WAS IN THE MARKET FOR A LAMP. WE HIT UP A FURNITURE STORE AND AS PRETTY AS THOSE LAMPS WERE, THEY WERE WAY OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE, AND I WASN'T WILD ABOUT THEM. SO, AS I HAD TO GET DEODORANT ANYWAY, WE STOPPED BY THE TUESDAY MORNING NEXT TO THE GROCERY STORE.

YES. THAT IS LADY JUSTICE.

Unfortunately, her original scales were damaged (which meant I got the lamp for nearly $20 less than it would have been), so I replaced them with....well, to be perfectly honest, I had my days of hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh fangirling. I still love it, it just gets less of my time than it used to. But I have little necklaces of five of the seven Millennium Items -- everything but the Ring and the Puzzle. Necklace, Rod, Key, Eye, and....Scales. Let's just say that the Scales are no longer on their chain. XD;;; Hey, if it works....?

But dude, I've been looking for a lamp for AGES, because my room's lit with fluorescent ceiling-bulbs. And I've wanted a statue of Lady Justice for even longer. The lamp's not quite as bright as I'd like it, but it's a decent desklamp.

My desk. <3 It's a good desk, although it's often just a little bit messier than that. ^^;; I cleaned up all this evening, FINALLY getting my clothes organized properly. And it feels WONDERFUL to have a clean, organized room. Don't get me wrong, creative clutter is great, too, but only to a certain extent. College has been ridiculously good for my habits. XD;;;

I love being the only one in my dorm. It means I can sing as much as I want. =////D And play music in the shower loud enough to hear it properly at one in the morning. I wouldn't do that if there were actually people here -- I've been hit with Justin Timberlake at two A.M. before, and although Boston >>>> Justin Timberlake, I still wouldn't pull that.

*sigh* I have a paper due Thursday, and a Psych test Monday. I should be studying. But I'm not. I'll cram Sunday, I think. *is bad~*
