A week ago today Paul and I went to Taskmaster: The Live Experience! I had no idea what to expect and was a bit nervous, but I hoped it would be fun and I could enjoy it for whatever it turned out to be.

I went up to London this weekend to see Back to the Future: The Musical. The tickets were a Christmas present from Rob and naturally I dragged Paul along cos he's my musical-loving friend! Last Friday I went up to see Paul for our Festive Weekend. We avoided central London this year, which was probably sensible but I did miss the Muppets. I'll just have to make up for it by watching and singalong-ing a lot at home!

In my previous post I mentioned my 40th birthday celebrations at The Shard and Hawksmoor. But the fun didn't end there! The next day Paul and I went into Kingston and tried our hand at The King's Quest, which was an interactive treasure hunt where you go around the place solving riddles and finding answers to clues. I rounded out my birthday week by heading up to Kingston for cocktails with Paul on Friday evening. We'd planned it before the Queen died and there was a bit of uncertainty about whether things would still be open or not, but I was glad to see that the country did not come to a grinding halt.
