The day started off with taking Dahlia to the vet's (at 8:30am on a Saturday morning...argh!) for another lyme titer. Another $80 down the drain. I'll find out on Monday if the levels have come down far enough to not worry about it or if she needs more antibiotics. I hope this is the end of it. We just got the results back from the bloodwork to check on how Dahlia is doing with the lyme disease. Her numbers have dropped from 253 to 83, a significant drop but still not in the "insignificant" range. However, that being said, since she's not showing any clinical signs, they don't want to put her back on antibiotics. We'll recheck in another ( Read more... )

I took Dahlia to the vet this morning for her yearly vet appointment. She did really well there. They weighed her and she weighs 52 lbs according to their scale, so she's still doing well in that regard (she weighed 55.5 lbs the last time we went there!). They drew blood and she didn't yelp. We went back to Barry Park today and David took a bunch of pictures of Dahlia. We set up several shots where she could run to me and David could take shots of her. He got some REALLY nice shots. Some of my favourite are behind the cut.
