In an attempt to get over my full-blown jetlag, I decided to go climbing at C5 yesterday. The jetlag's really been annoying me; I've been keeping extremely anti-social hours (which is why not many ppl know I'm back) and sleeping at 8am and only budging out of bed around 4pm. Hazards of climbing: getting kicked in the head. A little accident today involving C and D. D fell off the bouldering wall and C was traversing below and got kicked in the head when D fell off. Wow. What's happening to me. I'm the most unhealthy person, especially when it comes to my diet (or lack of).. with all my carnivorous tendencies.. and the last couple of days have been relatively healthy eating. Had a great climbing session today. It seems to alternate.. one week good, one week really crap. Just my luck I did a bit of climbing with S during one of my really crap weeks.. he scampered up the wall in minutes during the lead while I took ages to second. Woo hoo! Did another lead last night, on a small overhang. Was initially going to do it on green (British grade 4c, I think) but after getting past the overhang, was just so knackered and shaking that I finished it on rainbow. Had an absolutely exhausting weekend and week so far. Back to back weekends away are shattering.. they start on Fri afternoon and from then it, it's very physically demanding till Sun late night.
