This afternoon, while grocery shopping, I picked up microwave popcorn. Since they have essentially the same nutritional profile and not knowing which one I would prefer, I decided to get Act II "Butter Lovers" and "Xtreme Butter" and run a side-by-side taste test. We made hamburgers for dinner this evening. After I served them up, Meg started singing "He's Got the Whole Burger in His Hands." Not willing to let a good song end with just one verse, I picked it up and ran with it. So it turns out the shiny, metallic-looking label on the jar of honey we had in the cupboard is metallic-looking because it's got metal on it. We discovered this because Jess put it in the microwave to heat it up. The way the label sparkled and flashed was quite cool. Last weekend, while we were out and about, we stopped in a nearby small town for dinner. Since it was Sunday, there weren't many choices. After seeing what was open, Jess asked me, "So, do we go for Subway or bad Chinese?"

Yesterday, while we were in the same small town, Nicky asked, "Daddy, are we going to bad Chinese for lunch?"

Meg just asked me to help her finish her milk. I started by cheering "Go, Meggy, Go!" for a while, then "You can do it! Drink it up!", then switched to "Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink!" and finished off with "Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!" I guess I'm preparing her for college drinking games.
