Yikes, it's been months again hasn't it? Oops! :D
Oh well, a fair amount has been going on, but I'm afraid it's pretty much all acting related so apologies if everyone's bored of that after the summer updates.
I got into the RSAMD evening programme so I'm now spending Tuesday evenings through in Glasgow for a year. The course started a couple of weeks ago, and we're going to be doing physical theater until Christmas. I haven't done any purely physical theater before so I'm finding it really interesting, it's great having such a diverse group work together so quickly and comfortably.
I've also managed to get a part in a play through in Edinburgh, and since it's only three weeks away we're now up to three, 2.5hour rehearsals a week. It's fairly intense since I only have about half an hour after work each night before I head through (and no time after work when I'm at the RSAMD!) but it's brilliant fun! We're putting on 'Out of Sight... Out of Murder' by Fred Carmichael. I'm playing Lydia who is a gold digging bitch, so it's a really fun part to do. ;)
Work is hectic as usual, and I don't even want to think about the amount we'll have going on come January. So, for now I won't. January does not yet exist for me! I had an interview for a promotion a couple of weeks ago but I didn't get it in the end. I can't say I'm surprised, if I was the one doing the interviews I would have given it to either the girl who got it or two of the other applicants, so it wasn't exactly a huge shock. I did get lots of good feedback from my boss on the interview so I know what was good and what to work on next time. We went over possible career paths as well as I told her I was considering moving sideways rather than necessarily up at the moment, so it's nice to know she'll be supportive of that if I do make the decision to try it. :)
I also helped my best friend move to Switzerland last month. It's gutting not having her here any more, but she's settling into her new job and country and it's such a great opportunity for her. Her boyfriend has managed to get work in the very South of Germany as well, so they can have a weekend relationship since they'll only be a few hours away from each other now (rather than her being in Scotland and him being in Canada).
In random squeeing news, how awesome does the next episode of Merlin look! Ah, Colin Morgan, you do dungeon scenes so well.
