Who watched the first televised leaders debate in the UK on TV last night...

But I LOATHE the idea of tax cuts for married couples.  It completely undermines unmarried couples and suggests that marraige, by virtue of bit of sodding paper, makes you a "better" family.  I used to work for a fostering agency.  Kids get abused in families where the parents are married and those who are not.  In fact, sometimes the worse abuse ( Read more... )

My MP (John Bercow)  is Speaker of the House of Commons.  For once, I am impressed by the actions of a number of politicians.  I'm not a Tory supporter, but I am a Bercow supporter.  He attends every poxy little event in my town and talks to people about what matters to them.  He supports gay rights and the rights of unmarried couples because he ( Read more... )
