SO.
I've been living on staffroom coffee for the last few weeks, cos my shitty secondhand Goodwill coffee maker died ala fail heating element. So recently I bought a new coffee maker - a nice, new, PRICEY thing. Fuck yeah Christmas money.
BUT
I just tried to make hot water for tea in it AND IT TASTED LIKE PLASTIC CHEMICAL GROSS. I washed the entire thing out about four times, AND IT STILL TASTED LIKE PLASTIC CHEMICAL GROSS.
And I'm stupid and don't know where I put the receipt. And it's 100 miles round trip to the place where I got this thing, and where I could get another stupid coffee maker.
AND MY PROPANE STOVE HAS BEEN MAKING WORRYING SMELLS, so I can't use that to make hot water, and arjklsjfskljfklsjdlkjfslksjfksjflksjfkl I want tea tonight dammit and coffee in the morning that isn't all watery and gross.
ALSO ALSO ALSO MY TOASTER. It's what I get for being cheap and buying the five-dollar Wal-Mart toaster, but I'm poor, I have to be cheap. Anyway it also makes a worrying smell. TOASTERS SHOULD SMELL LIKE TOAST. NOT FIRE AND DEATH. But at least the smell doesn't transfer over to the taste of my poptarts so it's got that over the coffee maker at least.
