I promised folks pictures of the condo once it was looking more like a home and less like a storage room. *g* So here they are. 18 pics this time (taken with my iPhone again), because I felt like there was more worth seeing, if you're interested.
As before, we start just inside the front door.
The main bathroom. Not looking too different, aside from the absence of a box and the fact that I pointed the camera more towards the toilet instead of the shower this time.
The storage room, now chock full of flattened boxes, boxes that can't be flattened, and other miscellaney.
The main hall, with the apartment looking a little more open in the absence of the wall of boxes.
The right hand corner of the kitchen, with a handful of groceries on the counter. I store a lot of stuff on the counter because I have two crockpots and an electric wok in addition to a kettle, a toaster, and a couple of juicers that my mom gave me but that I don't use. There just isn't enough space in the cupboards.
The rest of the kitchen.
The main part of the living room. We still haven't figured out what to do with that chair. The couch is a bit crowded with both of us on it, given the amount of time we spend there. But the apartment just isn't that wide. I'm still determined to experiment with couch angles to see if we can get the chair facing the TV, too.
The view from the couch, where I spend most of my time, complete with laptop. *g*
The corner of the living room that is ahead and to the left of the couch. It's actually much better lit than this. It's the brightest part of the apartment, but my camera and iPhoto compensated for glare.
The nook we created by putting the TV entertainment unit a few feet away from the wall with
tartary_lamb's door. This nook will eventually be lined with shelving of some sort for
tartary_lamb's books and other miscellany, but we can't buy the shelves until I decide on a decorating scheme for new furniture. I'm contemplating dark cherry red and a kind of warm wood-gold. Yes, you may laugh at me now. We'll see. This might change.
My bedroom, looking towards the window and showing three of my five bookcases. Yes, those are Hulk Hands you can see by the window. I bought them in a Target in Michigan when at MediaWest one year. (Remember,
sithdragn and
keelywolfe? *g*) When the Hulk movie with Edward Norton came out, I went to the theatre wearing black pants, a black long sleeved shirt, a bright green t-shirt (unbuttoned), and the Hulk Hands. :-D
This is the other end of my bedroom, showing the other two bookcases (one of which is the home of my stuffed toys and actions figures, at least for the moment) and the doors to my bathroom and one of my two closets.
The ensuite bathroom, once again looking much the same. Except for the box spring, which is now under my mattress instead of behind the bathroom door. *g*
You may have noticed the crowd living on top of the TV entertainment unit. This would be my Super Hero Squad collection. I call them the Tiny Army. I thought some of you might be entertained by closer pictures of them, so I give you the Tiny Army:
