I haven't posted about it at all, and I've been missing in action on chat (sorry, regular chat folks!), but that doesn't mean I'm not still a hardcore Tour de France fan. *grins*
We don't regularly have cable in the new place (neither of us was watching it), but I am getting it hooked up for July so that I can watch Le Tour live in the mornings. Alas, the Tour started this morning and I couldn't get a cable appointment until Monday morning. Happily, I have managed to find live streaming video from Versus, complete with the absolutely necessary Phil and Paul commentary. \o/
This tempts me to cancel the cable hook up, but I don't know if Versus is streaming the whole thing or just the first few stages and...well, the Tour is worth about $55 to make sure I see it the way I like it.
I don't know quite what I'll do when I go to San Diego. Last year I didn't have it in me to get up early enough to watch it live, and then I never caught the prime time coverage. But last year wasn't exactly an exciting last four days. This year I think the last five will be exciting, and I'd hate to miss them. Hopefully I can at least catch the highlights in prime time.
So, welcome to July, also known as Tour de France month. *grins* You'll be hearing a fair bit about it from me, up every day at crazy times to watch it live. Today is a good day--6:30am. The mountain stages will have me up at 3:30am!
And in other news, happy Fourth of July to my neighbours to the south!
ETA: Versus live only worked for the first hour. *curses* Eurosport it is. With their very...calm...commentators...
ETA 2: Annnnnnd Eurosport is down.
