Mother just phoned me. Apparently my 19 years old brother (who, I am ashamed to say, I have very little to do with and have been about as crap a sister to as it is possible to be without actually physically harming the boy) has just confessed to be incredibly depressed and has been wanted to kill himself for ages.

 My lovely aunt and uncle are over from Texas at the moment. We saw them yesterday and today, and then they're off to see other family up North. I've only seen them twice in the last twenty years, but it's all very comfortable and nice with them.
