Fading like roses dropping
beauty swimming in and out with the tide
leaving myself open to you knowing little
of what is to come in futures bright or
futures bleary.
nothing felt but intensities warm
everything felt and somehow reassuring
blocks built up high as skyscrapers shrieking
afraid to love you afraid to need you
wanting to want you wanting to love you
I am falling deeply into waters warm
the gates once sealed shut with boulders firm
the gates opening to. opening to opening to
opening to.
you.
what are we but what we see each other to be?
perceptions hazy perceptions hoping
opening to your eyes I feel you inside me
inside my body my soul my mind
within my thoughts you move
wanting to move freely you still hesitate some
apprehensive to what opening up could mean
your tears said everything
as they fell down slid down down down
toward and into my heart they slid
washing away rivers as they slid
wanting to feel you I let myself feel
more, more, more - each moment more.
opening as the lotus flower opening more
there is no end to the opening
Time drips waters warm
the lotus bloom opens its mouth to it
droplets falling on the tongue as creamy sorbet
I drink them like a desert plant
entering my heart as white light your skin
entering my soul as radiant beams your smile
I am nothing but colored light as we move
my colors swirl with yours forming spirals
our colors dance, laughing
and now this radiant little creature
this beautiful little ray of light
his smile lights up all the world
his laugh melts icebergs
his song lifts all the earthbirds to flight
to have laughed for a moment within the dark
to have caught a glimpse of what may be to come
to have felt moments of joy
I place them in star shapes as marbles
I let them dance within my fingers
they sparkle like radiant jewels
gems pure as the earth from which they came
the flickering sparkles that live and dance in your eyes
this small radiant person a part of you
this small but full person a child of God.
