Day 03: Virginia Beach, VA

This was a traveling day.  Between Asheville, NC and Virginia Beach, VA driving there took 8 hours.  Oh my goodness it was just so hot outside I felt like my shoes were going to melt into the pavement.  I think my home town is experiencing better weather than this!  Oh yeah, and the Blue Ridge Parkway...Black Mountains... We went to the Biltmore Estate today! It was incredibly luxurious but it didn't have the luxury of air conditioning. I was hyper throughout the morning. Hahaha maybe it's because I was wearing my explorer shorts. (Oh, and the new clips of the L'Arc~en~Ciel World Tour that was posted on youtube earlier!)

I'm in the big apple again, and hopefully, I'll get to do more touristy things aside from shopping.  However, I've spent the last day and a half bumming around my uncle's house.  That mostly translates into sleeping because I'm catching up on sleep or because the Benedryl is extremely potent.

I can't remember the last time I woke up feeling...satisfied. Yeah, I still feel tired, but I had a dream that revolved around anthropology and geology and...it felt right.

Okay so I spent the day in New York City and I had a blast! We didn't get to do typical tourist things like The Statue of Liberty or Coney Island, but it was still great!

Gonna leave for Canada through Detroit in a bit. I'm kinda upset with my parents that we're not even spending two nights over there. Pffft, man, I wanted to see more than a waterfall! I love window shopping!

I guess I can do my souvenir shopping there or NYC. Either place is incredibly expensive...

Well after a long night of no free wifi at the hotel and Shark Week footage, we're finally on our way back to Warren.

Before leaving, our cousins wanted to show us Navy Pier. After 24 hours, I can proudly say that I have a crush on Chicago. It's really lovely and I wanna come back with some friends so we could do stuff without parents all over us ( Read more... )
