The Meaning of Two
Junsu doesn't understand why Changmin keeps buying roses in pairs.
“Look, Changmin,” He's said this for umpteen times, “Flowers don't come in pairs like shoes do. You either buy one stalk, three stalks, or a bouquet of nine blooms. Two stalks don't mean anything!”
Changmin just keeps silent and caresses a red petal gently with his thumb.
Junsu sighs. It was a fruitless argument anyway.
He turns and leave the room in search for Yoochun; something more responsive.
Changmin hears his footfalls fade into the silence and a small, secret smile tugs at his lips. He knew, of course. He knew that one stalk meant love at first sight, three meant 'I love you', while nine meant long lasting, or forever love.
What Junsu-hyung didn't know that Changmin did, was that two stalks meant something as well.
I'm waiting here, for you.
