An update! It's been so long I almost forgot how to do this. I have so many things I want to talk about it's like a logjam in my brain. Maybe I can sort them out with bullet points.
- Saw the final Harry Potter movie. Loved it. (Except for Ginny, who could not have been more lame and boring if she TRIED omg.) Overall, it was a very satisfying conclusion to the movie series. And as I mentioned somewhere else today, I am beyond pleased that the child actors have grown up into awesome little adults without self-destructing in a blaze of drugs, alcohol and fame. Amazing. Can't wait for the inevitable reboot, hahaha.
- I think I might be done with Glee fic. The only pairing I'm really into is Puck/Kurt, and when it's good it's really good, and when it's bad it's MPREG. God, the fucking mpreg in this pairing is KILLING ME. Ugh. KURT IS NOT A GIRL.
- Work. Love it, but we're SO BUSY. We are re-branding and we are preparing for our huge annual convention at the same time and it is very, very stressful. And busy. But it's slowing down as we approach the convention date, so things should be calmer from here on out.
- I moved. God, I hate moving. But this time we bought a house! We are now the proud owners of our very own money pit. I will post pics eventually, but everything is still in such disarray that I'm not motivated to do it. This house is about the same size as the last one we lived in, but it has about 1/10th of the storage space, so putting stuff away is like solving a puzzle. Very slowly.
- I'm pregnant. About 19 weeks now. Pregnancy FAQs: yes, it was planned; no, we don't know the gender (and aren't going to find out until it's born); yes, it's exciting; baby is due around Christmas; I am feeling mostly okay, with occasional bouts of "morning sickness" that happen in the evening and are more like a really sensitive gag reflex than nausea; no, we don't have names picked out yet (and will not tell anyone when we do--another thing that can be a surprise for everyone, mostly because I don't want anyone's feedback or opinion on names); yes, I plan to keep working after the baby is born; and yes, my parents and in-laws (and sister) are OVER THE MOON excited. :-) Leaving the gender unknown is mostly to prevent them from going on a pre-baby arrival shopping binge of pink or blue stuff. Not that they aren't shopping--I know my sister and MIL have stashes at their houses of stuff they've already bought in fits of excitement and "ohhh, cute baby stuff!" All of you guys who have been friends with me for years might remember that I was pregnant once before and had a miscarriage at 17 weeks (which is pretty far along for a miscarriage). So I myself am cautiously excited, but probably the most restrained of everyone (not that that's unusual for pretty much any circumstance in my life). I don't particularly like being pregnant (getting fat and vomiting! What's not to love?) so I am really hoping that this one sticks so I don't have to do this again.
That's all for now. I hope I can update more regularly now that moving hell and work business have abated.
