I made this for a friend on Ravelry who commissioned it for her hubby's 50th birthday. Lord Ganesh is on his way to her as we speak. He lived with me for so long, I miss him now!

For Earth Day there was a reusable tote bag contest at work. I decided to try making a plarn bag - plastic yarn. You cut the bag into strips so you end up with circles of yarn about 1" wide. Then you loop them together to make a double stranded plastic yarn. The bag took about 45 bags to make!

Yesterday I finished a little bear I was working on.  I think I am going to start an Etsy site to sell him and his pattern, but first i want to get another ami and pattern ready to put in there so I have more than one thing.  What do you all think? And does anyone know what I patterned him after?

Waaaaaay back in July, I started amis of my friend Kruger and his partner Greg as a wedding present for them. They live about an hour away, so I don't see Kruger very often. Adam has been asking me to make a hat that looks like hair for quite a while now. I decided that he needed a Mohawk for Halloween (although I am pretty sure he will wear it other times too). I finally finished (more or less) my Dr. Horrible. For those of you who haven't watched it yet, you can see it on Hulu (at least from the US - I'm not sure about elsewhere). My son has a cast of monster characters that he has made up, and the entoadas were one of the first types. He draws them all the time and writes stories about them, and he even got his friends at school started playing a game about entoadas. This entoada is named Enfroga.
