Series: Post-BNDverse
Prompt: Older!Anarchy being a badass professor

There were a number of reasons - Marinette decided, checking on one long, black-polished nail and jamming bony elbows against her desk's dingy pile of textbooks - why having a ridiculous girlcrush on her Social Movements teacher was a stupid idea. Although, it could quickly be boiled down into two very specific ones.

One, he was happily married with a kid.

Two, he was happily married to his husband.

“If you turn to page three hundred and fifty two,” Professor Black continued, crossing his right ankle over the left before leaning his entire weight over the unhappily squeaking podium, “You'll find an inane essay on the power of the written word and how it is the primary influence in the development of social ideals.” Her teacher rolled his eyes skyward through thick, burnished hair, and Marinette found herself silently grinning, imagining the older man running through the streets of 2045 as he walloped emo poets with a megaphone, “This - as many of you may have guessed - is completely idiotic. And having personally met the author, I can heartily assure you that Robert Hollins is also completely idiotic.”

From some magical neither space, Professor Black procured his first orange of the seminar, stripping off long peels to litter them over the podium before popping a slice into his mouth. Defly clicking her pen, Marinette tallied a single swipe of ink at the top of her notebook page, estimating today's count at three.

“Contrary to what your book and the netfeeds writing it may think, Robert Hollins was not responsible for the glorification of the social war front movement. Also, Robert Hollins cannot fly, nor can he lift a bear. If any of you include these in your finals, I will fail you from class and also find some way to fail you from life, so please don't come crying to me afterward because you felt some incessant need to include bears in your paper.”

The tally mark looked rather lonely, and so Marinette spiced it up with several quickly-scribbled hearts and Anarchy symbols around it.

“That aside, the Social War Front movement glorification had less to do with Robert Hollins spewing weepy stories over printing presses and influential authors, and more to do with those authors beating each other with their manuscripts in the streets.” She watched a grin spread across his face, as he ripped apart and ate the last of his orange. “It was more dangerous than you'd think; some of those guys had a mean arm.”

Three hours later, Marinette flipped shut her doodle-ridden workbook. She really needed to start taking notes before she failed out.
