I fear my depression is returning. It's not too bad yet, but I'm scared it might get there. I don't know how to stop it. Quitting my job seems like a good idea, but I'm not 100% sure if it'll help, or if it'll just make me broke. the only things i know are to spend a couple of days doing absolutely nothing, and also spending a lot time outdoors - walking etc. it resets the brain.

Mmm, a few days doing nothing would be wonderful if only I could do so guilt-free. Problem is I keep on thinking "ARG YOU NEED TO WORK ON YOUR DISSERTATION YOU LAZY SLOB" and so relaxation time is actually quite stressful :/ Outdoors might be a good idea though. I could do some gardening, repot the veggies that got pwned in the hail storm. Then I might feel like I've accomplished something, which would be helpful in getting out of the "I'm so useless" spiral. Good suggestion, thanks :)

I'm not sure I have anything useful to say.. I've been feeling the same way lately, that my depression is getting worse again. Unfortunately it often happens in winter (thus the reason why SAD exists) and the only thing I can think of is to talk to my psych about ways of heading it off before it comes. Maybe a slightly higher med dose ( ... )
